Block Jointing Mortar

When it comes to construction jointing technology, more is not always better. And EnvoFix proves this emphatically. Made with especially formulated eco-friendly mortar, this unique product delivers a much higher bonding strength at just 30% the thickness of conventional mortar.
It is also smoother, stronger, more water-resistant and cost effective as compared to traditional jointing mortar.
EnvoFix is designed and produced under strict quality controls using a unique combination of cement, fly ash, graded sand and environment friendly polymers that enables a thinner, compact and versatile jointing solution.
EnvoFix is available as dry powder, packed in 40 kilo bags made from high quality HDPE with plastic lamination to protect the contents from moisture in the atmosphere. The mortar can be stored in this form for up to six months from date of manufacture. It is recommended that EnvoFix not be stacked more than 8 bags high and should be kept in a dry place above ground level, and covered; but not with any hard material.
Application Method
Mixing
Mix 25-30% clean water (10-15 liters) per every 40 Kg bag of EnvoFix. Adjust the water quantity as needed to obtain desired consistency. Mix it vigorously either using two trowels facing backwards to each other, or using a mechanical mixer- electrical stirrer. Mix well for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the mixing equipment used. Ensure that no powder is left unmixed at the bottom of the vessel and the mix is homogenous with no lumps.
Surface Preparation
Clean the surface area where EnvoFix is to be applied so it is thoroughly clean and free from dust, grease, oil and any loose material.
Wet the masonry units like bricks or blocks before applying the adhesive
Line out on the concrete slab using conventional cement mortar to get the desired line level
Application
Place the first line of bricks/blocks evenly and apply EnvoFix in a thin uniform layer of 3 to 4 mm on the masonry unit using a trowel
Place the next line of masonry units on the evenly laid jointing mortar bed and press gently downwards, displacing the adhesive in all four direction to ensure proper line level and uniform surface exposure to the adhesive.
Set each brick/block in position by gently pressing with the handle of a trowel or a small hammer.
Mortar should be applied on each contact side of the bricks/block before placing it on the leveled surface.
Check the line level continuously at all times.
When applying against a column, EnvoFix should be applied on both the contact surfaces.
To avoid wastage clean excess material immediately using an upward facing trowel.
